We celebrated Greg's birthday a couple of weeks ago. Here is some video of the event. Hadley was pretty excited to help blow out the birthday candles. The delectable cake you see was hand-crafted by Ann-Michelle, awesome wife and mother extraordinaire. It is a Vermont spice cake with maple icing. It was really tasty!
Happy belated birthday Greg!

Happy Birthday Pop-Pop

feelin' old
This last birthday was not my favorite. I have never really noticed much significance with my birthdays- ooh, except 16- that was an important one. Anywho- turning 25 was a little bit of a tough one. I think my body literally aged to 40 over night- I feel so old!! I know I have the whole domestica thing going on and a million kids- but, for whatever reason I've really started feeling like the aging bugs have attacked and left little wrinkles around my once youthful eyes and aches in my once energetic joints. Jerks. Of course it is a major sign that I am maturing when I choose cherry crisp for my birthday cake and ask for home decor for gifts. |
Thanks to everyone who thought of me and thanks for all the great gifts! And THANK YOU Mom and Dad for having a very yummy birthday dinner on my big day! |

little blurb
Okay- here is a quick one. I just want to say thanks to Hannah for finding us and adding us to her links list! From her page lots of old BHS buddies have found us and commented- so fun to blog-connect! I can't lie- I am NOT up to par on blogging, but will do my best to post often enough to keep you all interested! I know, I know- my life is cooler than most TV shows- I've really got your back! Coming soon- my report on being OLD, our super crazy half-marathon adventure and tales of a last semester at BYU-I!

Jimmy Eat World
Let me begin by saying that all of these pictures were shamelessly taken from Caitlan's blog. We forgot our camera, and since we were at the concert, I figure its ok.
This set of pictures were taken from Caitlan's vantage point down on the floor.
This last one shows where Ann-Michelle and I were sitting
The concert was awesome, and the Flatlands were nice enough to put us up for the night afterwards. Thanks! and a big Thanks to all participating Grandma's (and Grandpa's) that made this event possible!

New Swingset
This last week my brother Mitch (sorry, no blog) and his family got a new swingset, so they gave us their old one. Can't say no to free stuff, right ? Anyway, so far the girls are loving it. I have reports that they played on it just about all day today.
Thanks Mitch and Jana !

Dallis and Prince Humperdink
Today I asked Dallis to get something from upstairs for me and her response, (don't forget to imagine a little sigh and dramatic undertone) was "Yes, as you wish." I could barely keep my laugh in- apparently this is the response often given to a certain Princess Butterscotch by her true love.

Blog-Silence
There is of course no excuse for an entire month of blog-silence, so rather than try to make some, I am just going to post a few pictures.
